Qualified applicants will contribute to the development of Software Defined Radio (SDR) while leading mixed software team of DSP and embedded software engineers at our Clarksburg, Maryland facility. Minimum BSEE degree (MSEE Preferred) and 8 years of design experience including at least 3 years of team leadership. •Experience with radio/wireless software •DSP coding using C and assembly language for algorithm development for audio processing, gain control, and modulation/demodulation (FSK, ASK, PSK, ...) techniques is required. •DSP firmware design and development for real time, embedded processing applications •C++, C and Assembly languages •Object-Oriented, software Design/Development using CAE tools (preferably UML) •Real-Time Operating Systems (preferably VxWorks) for real time, embedded processing applications. •Hands on debugging with PC-based development tools. •U.S. Citizenship. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Additional preferred experience: •Adhoc Networking •Satellite Modems •Networking as applicable to Layer 1 & 2 •Size, Weight and Power constrainted environments •Direct Sequence spread spectrum •Experience coding TI DSPs with CodeComposer is a plus •DSP coding and algorithm development experience in baseband (audio) filtering and processing, digital data processing, error codes, and digital modulation/demodulation techniques for wireless communication products •Modem design experience a plus •Familiarity with ECCM and frequency hopping algorithms, also a plus •Basic knowledge of RF fundamentals as they apply to VHF/UHF radios. •Experience with TI DSPs and ARM processors is desired.
